Ketchian is an Armenian-American painter who made great fame in Europe. Well-known for rather Bohemian scenes like this one, full of sensuous people. Many characters in this scene are shown from the back, lending a bit of mystery. Ketchian often includes a woman in a red dress.

Nice accent with gold bead on inner edge of mat. We assigned this title for easy reference. Vinyl-wrapped wood frame. Very good condition throughout: cleaned with new backing paper and hanging hardware.
